My name is Lenka Dakić, and I am a third-year student of Spanish language, literature, and culture at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade. In addition to attending the Fourth Gymnasium in Belgrade, I also graduated from music high school. Although I didn’t pursue music professionally, it still plays a big part in my life.
As a child (and even now), I wanted to become an actress. Since high school, I’ve been volunteering at various events (mostly sports-related), and my love for volunteering has taken me to many events and numerous destinations. I love traveling because discovering new countries and cultures brings me great joy. This year, my goal is to travel to Iceland.
The job at Nova Iskra came to me spontaneously, and I truly believe that the best things happen when you least expect them. Working at Iskra has helped me gain knowledge and skills I didn’t even know I had. Every day is a learning opportunity, and I’m grateful to be surrounded by people who support me—both at work and beyond. At Iskra, I’ve learned that it’s okay to ask questions and that with practice and persistence, I can achieve anything.
Every day, I’m surrounded by people who inspire me and never stop smiling. I find motivation in others and in the idea of becoming better each day. In the Iskra community, I’ve met people with whom I share many similarities, as well as differences—which I believe is exactly why we function so well as a team.
