What are you currently doing and what does your position involve?
Team lead of the RailData team. I lead a team of 15 people and help solve everyday problems. One day I am a developer, the next a data scientist, and the third a system architect, etc. :)
What motivates you in your work?
The satisfaction of solving a complex problem.
What do you do in your free time?
I enjoy reading biographies and working with electronics.
Is there anything else you want to share about yourself or your work?
We collect data from trains recorded with a device similar to a "black box" in airplanes, which are also used in trains (and are legally required). After that, we analyze the signals from the trains and enable our clients to perform safety checks, ensure trains arrive on time and generally obtain detailed information about the train's condition and its position. This includes knowledge of various systems used in railways that need to be adapted to IT industry standards.
